Robe’s International “The Future Is Digital” world tour continued apace, with four days in The Netherlands and Belgium experiencing an impressively tightly organized event courtesy of Controllux, Robe’s exclusive distributor for the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg.

Central Studios in Utrecht hosted the first two Roadshow days. This proved  an ideal space for demonstrating the full flexibility and functionality of Robe’s new DigitalSpot 3000 DT and DigitalSpot 7000 DT Digital Moving Lights. They were used to create stunning mid-air effects and project onto numerous surfaces and large screens, plus washing set pieces with colours - all these effects possible from the one lighting fixture.

From 10am to 10pm – to take account off the production industry’s busy daily working schedules - the Controllux team and Robe’s Sales Manager Ingo Dombrowski and Sales Support Manager Gerald Heise welcomed lighting designers, specifiers, operators and technicians.

They were introduced to Robe’s exciting new products, engaged in hands-on demos and had all their questions answered.

The equipment and Roadshow then moved on to Antwerp in Belgium, and the cozy environs of the historic Park West venue.

Marc Frijters, CEO of Controllux, commented “In our home territory of Holland, we maintain productive and long term relationships with all our customers. Belgium is a bit more of a challenge, and we see huge potential for the future there”.

With this in mind, Controllux recently recruited Bram De Clerck specifically to take care of the Belgian market, and he’s already made an impact with his product and market knowledge and experience.

The Antwerp Roadshow attracted numerous individuals from the theatre, live production and club markets. They came and enjoyed the relaxing and informative atmosphere, received vast amounts of information and related their requirements and needs for the future.

Summing up, Gerald Heise comments, “Benelux was a really good opportunity for technical and informal discussions and communication on many levels, and yet another success for the Robe Roadshow”.
