Robe’s “The Future is Digital” Roadshow zoomed into the Middle East, with a very successful event held at the Al Morooj Rotana Hotel, Dubai.

Robe’s exclusive distributor GSL took care of all the logistics, organisation and the installation of trussing and screen ready for the kit that arrived with Robe’s customer service representative Petr Vaněk and Elie Battah, regional sales manager for the Middle East who jointly conduced the session.

The large 4 by 5 metre screen made an impressive backdrop to the presentation which was divided into 2 sessions, the first in the morning at 10.30 and the second after lunch at 14.30.

Visitors came from all over the UAE, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia and included rental and TV production companies, lighting and visual designers, installers, consultants and representatives from the hotel industry which is massive throughout the region.

Both sessions followed the same format, kicking off with a welcome and a brief slide show documenting Robe’s history and development, highlighting the factory and current range of products.

Vaněk then took over, presenting the DigitalSpot 3000 and 7000 DT digital products, illustrating the difference between analog and digital and introducing the RED Series – REDWash 3•192, the REDMix and Robe’s Remote Device Management (RDM) protocol capabilities.

The second half of each session comprised individual discussions with all the attendees and in depth replies to all their queries. There were many questions on the DTs and everyone was interested and amazed by all the features and possibilities these digital moving lights offer.
