The International Broadcast Equipment Exhibition at the Makuhari Messe in Tokyo on November 19-21, was a premiere for Robe and its Japanese distributor, Media Face.
It was a slightly different stop on the busy Robe “The Future is Digital” Roadshow, as Media Face has already sold over 100 Robe digital moving lights – DigitalSpot 3000, 5000 and 7000 DTs - and has already done many direct presentations.
Robe customer service representative Petr Vanek and International Sales Manager Harry von den Stemmen were there in the capacity of representing Robe and supporting Media Face’s strong team.
The company, a distributor for all Robe products since the very early days, chose a booth design to best match the “broadcast” motto, by using only digital moving lights and REDWash LED based fixtures.
The very pure booth design featured the digital moving lights with an emphasis on the retail and wedding markets. Demonstrating the Picture Merge and other functions, they drew a big crowd and WOWED visitors throughout the exhibition.
Media Face is currently restructuring to address the growing demand for these fixtures and will run under the name LTG Lighting Technology Group from next year.
Company CEO, Mr. Masaharu Sakamoto, is anticipating a strong growth in 2009 and is planning to expand its business with Robe.
This is all music to Harry von den Stemmen’s ears: “I am thrilled with this perspective, particularly in these times of tough economic conditions” he says, “We’re delighted with the enormous success of Media Face after another good year, and it is great to hear about their ambitious plans for 2009. All the equipment sent to Japan for this exhibition from the Czech Republic has been taken by Media Face and I think they are now going for ‘pole position’ in the statistics for Robe digital lights!”
The huge success of the company with Robe was celebrated with some good Japanese Sake and Shochu – and many happy faces - after the show!
